Infinite Motion For The Future
The CTI SYMPOSIUM is the place to be for companies, engineers and innovators looking to be in the pole position of international drivetrain development. The CTI SYMPOSIUM provides expert-led plenary and technology sessions as well as expert discussions and product showcases representing the full range from complete drivetrain systems to components and engineering services.
This year InfiMotion Technology attended as an exhibitor with a booth with representatives from Europe, hardware on display as well as a test vehicle with an InfiMotion EDU installed.
Dr. Håkan Sandquist, Director Propulsion Hardware and Systems from InfiMotion Technology in Europe, gave a presentation on our InfiMotion EDU family - Combining Efficiency and Flexibility.
“An OEM customer asked if we could create one Electric Drive Unit (EDU) family for a multi-powertrain vehicle platform and a dedicated BEV vehicle platform. We designed a modular family to meet the requirements of the EDUs, and the definition of Modular Approach is standardized interfaces with well-balanced performance steps. The result of the study is six different EDU versions with significant complexity reduction”, says Håkan Sandquist and continues:
“The modular approach enables one EDU family for two vehicle platforms, lowering integration time and number of component variants, and reducing manufacturing, development, validation, and aftermarket effort.
We are open for both high and low volume production, creating our in-house hardware and software platform to enable short integration time, while pushing for environmentally friendly development and production”, says Håkan Sandquist.
InfiMotion’s High-Performance EDU Project has been officially launched in Wuxi, Jiangsu.
