On May 12, 2026, InfiMotion Technology celebrated the rollout of the first prototypes from its Intelligent High-Voltage, Highly Integrated e-Drive project. Leaders from Wuxi Municipal Government, Huishan District, Huishan Economic & Technological Development Zone, and Geely Holding Group attended the milestone event.

Following InfiMotion’s 2022 establishment in Wuxi, this project represents another strategic leap in production capacity and technology for the company’s e-drive solutions. It strengthens InfiMotion’s manufacturing capabilities and injects new momentum into the Yangtze River Delta’s core EV components cluster.

Project Overview: High Ambition, Rapid Execution

Signed in August 2025 and jointly promoted with Huishan Economic & Technological Development Zone, the project represents a total investment of RMB 3.3 billion with approximately 60,000 m² of facilities. It focuses on high-voltage platforms and highly integrated e-drive systems, aiming to deliver high-performance, reliable e-drive solutions for global OEMs.

In under a year, the project achieved contract signing, design, plant topping-out, and initial production line commissioning. By November 18, 2025, the plant structure was completed. Currently, 14 stator-rotor production lines, three motor control lines, and one motor assembly line are operational, with additional lines coming online as planned. Upon full production, annual capacity will reach 300,000 e-drives, 1 million motors, and 600,000 motor controllers, supporting large-scale domestic and international orders.

Strategic Expansion: Global Footprint and Capability Upgrade

InfiMotion now operates a global R&D and manufacturing network across Wuxi, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Ningbo, Jiaxing, Quzhou, and Gothenburg, Sweden, employing over 6,000 staff. In 2025, total revenue exceeded RMB 14 billion.

As InfiMotion’s core manufacturing hub, Wuxi has seen three consecutive years of doubled output, reaching RMB 3.8 billion in 2025. This growth reflects both the company’s technological competitiveness and Huishan District’s strong industrial cluster and business environment for EV components.

Technological Leadership and Market Recognition

InfiMotion places innovation at the heart of its strategy. Recent milestones include:

2024: Global debut of the 11-in-1 high-integration domain-controlled e-drive system, earning the industry’s first “5A e-Drive Assembly” certification from CAERI.
2025: Launch of the world’s first mass-produced magnesium alloy dual-motor assembly with distributed drive system, winning multiple industry awards.
2025: Introduction of the 900V high-performance magnesium alloy coaxial e-drive assembly, named one of the “World’s Top 10 e-Drive Systems.”

These breakthroughs have secured trust from leading European automakers, with nearly RMB 20 billion in long-term contracts signed with brands in the UK, France, and Germany. Chinese e-drive manufacturers are increasingly moving from followers to core global supply chain participants.

Milestone Achievement: Prototypes and Global Market Entry

The first prototypes rolling off the line mark a key stage in project readiness. Built on high-voltage platforms with deep integration, these e-drives achieve international-level performance in power density, efficiency, and NVH. They will be deployed in mainstream European vehicles, representing InfiMotion’s flagship entry into overseas high-end markets.

At the unveiling, Wuxi Mayor Jiang Feng and Geely Holding Group Senior VP Wang Zhaoxing jointly revealed the prototypes, followed by a production line tour led by Wuxi Plant Director Xia Changliang, showcasing precision manufacturing and quality control.

From high-voltage platforms to system integration, from efficiency optimization to smart manufacturing, InfiMotion continues to advance e-drive technology and industrialization. The Intelligent High-Voltage, Highly Integrated e-Drive project enhances global delivery capabilities and strengthens end-to-end capabilities from R&D to large-scale manufacturing.
