Infinite Motion For The Future
The “Drive For Future · Geely 16‑in‑1 Intelligent E‑Drive” launch event was held at InfiMotion’s headquarters in Wuxi on July 16. At the event, Geely unveiled its next‑generation intelligent electric drive system, designed around deep system integration, exceptional energy efficiency, and uncompromising safety and reliability. The new electric drive will make its production debut in the Geely Galaxy TT series.
Speaking at the event, Joe, CEO of InfiMotion, highlighted InfiMotion’s global R&D footprint spanning Wuxi, Shanghai, Ningbo, Hangzhou, and Gothenburg, Sweden. More than 1,000 engineers, including over 100 specialists in Sweden, work collaboratively through a cloud‑based development platform, enabling synchronized hardware, software, and algorithm development across continents.
“Global collaboration is not simply about working across different locations—it is about moving at the same pace,” said Joe. “Our development process is built around real‑world global driving conditions, from sustained high‑speed operation on Germany’s unrestricted highways, to sub‑zero cold starts in the Nordic region, and continuous high‑load performance in Southeast Asia’s hot and humid climate.”
At the launch, InfiMotion showcased a portfolio of proprietary innovations, including Umini‑pin winding technology, 0.2 mm ultra‑thin silicon steel laminations, embedded motor controller, and three‑level motor controller technology. InfiMotion has also taken the lead in establishing the industry’s group standard for amorphous material motors, further reinforcing its commitment to technological leadership.
These innovations build upon a series of industry‑first milestones. In 2024, InfiMotion introduced the world’s first 11‑in‑1 domain‑controlled electric drive, becoming the first 400V IGBT‑based platform to achieve over 90% real‑world operating efficiency. In 2025, InfiMotion launched the world’s first mass‑produced magnesium‑aluminum alloy dual‑motor drive unit, followed by the world’s first 900V high‑performance magnesium‑alloy coaxial electric drive unit. Weighing just 77 kg while delivering 5,200 Nm of peak torque, the system established a new benchmark for power density in production electric drive systems.
Today, InfiMotion supplies electric drive solutions to leading global automotive brands, including Geely, Volvo, and Jaguar Land Rover. During the first half of 2026, InfiMotion’s installed volume of electric motors and motor controllers ranked among the top three in the industry, reflecting the strong market acceptance of its technologies.
Behind every product lies a rigorous engineering and validation system. InfiMotion develops its products in accordance with ASPICE Level 3 and the highest ASIL‑D functional safety standard. Its CNAS‑accredited testing center covers the full spectrum of electric drive validation and features the world’s first 30,000 rpm motor test bench. The facility is capable of verifying performance under temperature extremes ranging from –60 °C to 140 °C, 1,500‑hour salt spray testing, and 2,500‑hour comprehensive durability testing – ensuring reliability under the world’s most demanding operating conditions.
In manufacturing, InfiMotion operates five production bases in Wuxi, Hangzhou, Ningbo, Quzhou, and Jiaxing. Its motor production lines achieve 95% automation, while SMT placement accuracy reaches ±25 μm and its AI‑powered vision inspection delivers measurement precision of 20 μm, providing industry‑leading consistency and manufacturing quality.
Today, InfiMotion’s product portfolio spans 400 V to 900 V electric drive platforms, supporting applications from A0‑segment passenger vehicles to high‑performance supercars. Supported by an integrated global network across China, Europe, and Malaysia, InfiMotion combines localized innovation with global manufacturing and customer support capabilities.
Looking ahead, Joe reaffirmed InfiMotion’s commitment to advancing electric mobility through full‑stack in‑house innovation and global engineering collaboration.
“Our mission is not only to develop advanced electric drive technologies, but to deliver solutions that are production‑ready, thoroughly validated, and globally competitive.”
