E Drive Innovation, Global Vision: InfiMotion Showcases Advanced Technologies at VDI Congress

News 2026/07/06

In July 2026, InfiMotion participated in the VDI Congress in Germany . The automotive congress Dritev (Drivetrain Transmission Electrification Vehicles) offers the powertrain community an optimal platform for exchange.

Representing InfiMotion, Dr. Andreas Andersson delivered a technical presentation on the latest advancements in electric drive technologies. His presentation focused on enabling high‑performance e‑drive units through 900V system architecture and inverter innovation.

He shared InfiMotion’s latest R&D achievements in 900V e‑drive system integration, magnesium alloy engineering, and intelligent torque control, covering material selection, structural design, and control strategies. The presentation sparked extensive discussion, particularly around InfiMotion’s approach to addressing NVH challenges at high motor speeds.

A key highlight was InfiMotion’s 900V coaxial dual‑motor e‑drive with a magnesium alloy housing. Featuring a high‑pressure semi‑solid die‑cast magnesium housing and a total weight of less than 130 kg, the system delivers an industry‑leading power density of 5.69 kW/kg and torque density of 72.7 Nm/kg among mass-produced magnesium alloy dual-motor e-drive systems. More importantly, the VDI Congress provided a valuable platform for technical exchange, enabling InfiMotion to engage with global peers on optimizing the balance between efficiency, weight, and cost in next‑generation e‑drive systems.

As a strategic market in InfiMotion’s global expansion, Europe plays a key role in the company’s international development. Backed by full‑stack in‑house R&D and continuous technological innovation, InfiMotion has earned multiple international certifications and established partnerships with leading global automakers. Its participation at VDI further demonstrated the company’s expertise in high‑voltage systems, lightweight engineering, and intelligent control, while reinforcing its commitment to advancing the global transition toward smart, sustainable mobility.

Looking ahead, InfiMotion will continue to push the boundaries of e‑drive technology, delivering solutions that are more efficient, lighter, and quieter to accelerate the future of green mobility worldwide.
